Franciscan Health has announced the opening of its new outpatient therapy clinics in Homewood, Illinois. Located in Cherry Creek Plaza, these state-of-the-art facilities are designed to provide comprehensive therapy services for both pediatric and adult patients.
The Franciscan Health Outpatient Pediatric Therapy clinic is now operating at 18410 Governors Highway. Managed by Milestone Therapy, it offers physical, occupational, and speech therapy with specialized features such as seven private treatment rooms and a sensory playroom. This facility aims to address developmental delays, sensory treatments, neurological conditions, and orthopedic needs. The sensory playroom was partly funded by a $10,000 donation from the Circle of 1875—a women's giving circle supporting Franciscan's community programs.
Laurie Shellito, Director of Rehab Services at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields, commented on the services: “Our in-clinic therapy services offer a focused, supportive environment where children can work on achieving their developmental goals.”
For more information or appointments at the pediatric clinic, individuals can call 708-852-2535.
The adult outpatient therapy clinic has also relocated partially to 18460 Governors Highway and plans to complete its move later this year. It provides therapies for orthopedics, dizziness, concussions, fall prevention, pelvic health issues, neurological conditions including Parkinson’s Disease treatments. Information about potential eligibility for treatment without a physician's prescription through the Direct Access Program can be obtained by calling 708-679-2890.
Additionally joining the Cherry Creek Plaza location are Specialty Physicians of Illinois' primary care providers Dr. Josephine Minnicino and Imaobong Udonkang. They offer family medical care for all ages and are currently accepting new patients.
An open house event will be held on March 19 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., inviting the public to tour the new offices. Attendees will have opportunities to engage with providers while enjoying refreshments and participating in games and health screenings. Registration is required for this free event either online or via phone at 317-528-3284.
