Beecher Elementary School Education: 123 Hispanic students were enrolled in 2022-23 school year

There were 123 Hispanic students enrolled in Beecher Elementary School in the 2022-23 school year, 9.8% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Data showed that the school welcomed 433 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 28.4% of the student body to be the least represented ethnicity in the school.

The school is located in Beecher Community Unit School District 200U with a central office in Beecher.

Among the three schools in Beecher Community Unit School District 200U, Beecher Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 433 students.

Illinois registered one of the largest enrollment drops during the pandemic. Since 2020, the Prarie State lost nearly 118,000 students, further intensifying a decline trend established since 2013.
