Franciscan Health Lafayette East has been acknowledged as one of the Top 100 Hospitals in the Nation for Medical Excellence in joint replacement by CareChex Awards, a service provided by Bluebook Quantros. The recognition is based on CareChex's quality scoring system, which evaluates inpatient quality performance across various U.S. hospitals.
The rating places Franciscan Health Lafayette East among the top hospitals nationally for medical excellence, reflecting its commitment to delivering high-quality care. The CareChex system aims to help hospitals improve inpatient care quality and promote clinical excellence.
Terry Wilson, President and CEO of Franciscan Health Western Indiana, stated, "To be recognized by CareChex as one of the Top 100 hospitals in the country for joint replacement shines a spotlight on the exceptional services and care provided by our ortho team to the Greater Lafayette area." He added that they are honored and humbled by such accolades.
In collaboration with OrthoIndy, Franciscan Health is constructing a 44,000-square-foot orthopedic clinic and surgery center in Greater Lafayette. This facility will include an orthopedic clinic and surgery center along with urgent care, physical therapy, and imaging services.
CareChex Awards are powered by Bluebook Quantros Quality Outcomes Analytics Software. Unlike other award rankings that rely on self-reported data, CareChex uses a comprehensive risk-adjustment methodology.
Other Franciscan Health hospitals have also received recognition from CareChex. Franciscan Health Indianapolis was noted for interventional coronary care and bone marrow transplants, while Franciscan Health Crown Point was recognized for major cardiac surgery and coronary bypass surgery.
