Franciscan Health Crown Point and Franciscan Health Dyer have been recognized for their excellence in inpatient rehabilitation, ranking among the top 10% of facilities in the United States according to the Netsmart Technologies, Inc. UDSMR database. This database evaluated patients discharged between October 2023 and September 2024 from 886 facilities nationwide.

The recognition highlights the facilities' ability to deliver effective, efficient, timely, quality, and patient-centered care. Nancy Cutler RN, MS, director of rehabilitation services and program development for Franciscan Health’s Northern Indiana region expressed pride in her team: “I’m proud of the work of the inpatient rehabilitation staff at Franciscan Health Crown Point and Franciscan Health Dyer for achieving this distinction.” She emphasized that patients can feel assured about receiving top-tier care locally.

Netsmart's UDSMR program evaluation model determined these rankings by providing a composite performance score and percentile ranking derived from over 80% of all inpatient rehabilitation facilities in the country. The model uses efficiency and effectiveness indicators from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ reporting tools.

Stephanie Stockton, senior data analyst in Netsmart's Analytical Services Group, acknowledged the achievement stating, “Franciscan Health Crown Point and Franciscan Health Dyer have demonstrated their commitment to providing efficient and exceptional patient care and we are delighted to present them with this esteemed award.”
