Toni Lin, MD, a hand surgeon with the Franciscan Physician Network Orthopedic Specialists, has been awarded the Healing Hands Award. Dr. Lin has been practicing with Franciscan since 2015.
The award comes as a result of nominations from several patients who expressed their gratitude for her care. One patient noted, "Dr. Lin did a good job on both of my hands. She and her staff are friendly and answered my questions. I would recommend her to anybody." Another shared, "Dr. Lin completed a trigger finger surgery and two carpal tunnels for me in the past three years. All procedures went exactly as planned, healing my painful hands. I am back to my regular living activities with no pain."
Further testimonials praised Dr. Lin's professionalism and attentiveness to patient needs: "Dr. Lin is very professional. She is in tune to all patient needs and concerns. Her staff members are also tops in their profession." Another patient commented on her demeanor: "She has been kind, friendly and to the point – everything I wish to have in a doctor."
Reflecting on her recognition, Dr. Lin credited her success to the support of her husband and family, while acknowledging her grandmother, also a surgeon, as an influential role model in her career.
"I try to focus on doing the right thing for each individual patient," said Dr. Lin.
Dr. Lin graduated from Purdue University and Indiana University School of Medicine before completing an internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She further specialized with a fellowship in hand surgery at the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical Center and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas.
