City of La Porte partners with Franciscan HEALTHeACCESS for employee healthcare

The City of La Porte, Indiana, has embarked on a new healthcare initiative following the Board of Public Works and Safety's approval of a collaboration with Franciscan's HEALTHeACCESS. This partnership is set to provide city employees and their families with healthcare services at no out-of-pocket expense.

"The care and wellbeing of our employees is a top priority for our team," said La Porte Mayor Tom Dermody. "In the ever-changing world of healthcare, it is important to identify dependable partners. I believe we've found that in Franciscan with their HEALTHeACCESS program and I have no doubt that they will provide top-level care that is both comprehensive and accessible for our team."

The HEALTHeACCESS program is notable for its advanced primary care models. With 17 clinics throughout the region and participation from over 200 employers, including the City of La Porte, the program aims to offer a broad network of accessible clinics. The program provides expanded primary and urgent care, enhances wellness and disease management, and features affordable network designs with fixed monthly fees and wellness portal programs.

"We're excited to partner with the city to bring employees, their spouses and dependents exceptional quality and continuity of care right here in the City of La Porte or at any of our other locations," explained Franciscan Health Director of Employer Solutions Tim Ross. A new HEALTHeACCESS office opened in July 2024 at 400 Legacy Plaza West in La Porte. The office operates from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Central, Monday through Friday, and further information can be acquired by calling 219-575-6055.
