Ruth Ann Firnhaber, a Beloved Matriarch

Ruth Ann Firnhaber, known for her love, energy, and faith passed away on April 30, 2025. She was married to her soulmate Dennis Firnhaber, and together they raised three daughters and enjoyed the blessings of five grandchildren. Ruth cherished time spent with her grandchildren, making every visit special with activities like baking, crafting, and miniature golf. She was a savvy businesswoman who, alongside Dennis, successfully managed Dari-lite in Beecher and Dari Plus in Matteson before working in the Accounting Department at Illinois Tool Works. Ruth's warmth and dedication reflected the light of Christ in every aspect of her life, bringing sunshine wherever she went. Born to Martin and Marion Von Alven, Ruth is survived by her daughters Denise, Nanette, and Susan, her grandchildren, Olivia, David, Maria, Madeline, and Samuel, her sister Eloise, her brother Gary, and her late husband Dennis preceded her in death. Ruth, a faithful servant of God, was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, now Peace Lutheran, where she served on the altar guild and taught Sunday school, leaving a lasting impact on her church and community. A visitation will be held on May 24, 2025, at Peace Lutheran Church in Beecher, IL, followed by a Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peace Lutheran Church of Beecher in her memory.
