Franciscan Health Crown Point has been acknowledged as one of the top 100 hospitals in the United States for medical excellence in major cardiac surgery and coronary bypass surgery. This recognition comes from the CareChex Awards by BluCareChex Quantros.
The 2025 awards by CareChex are determined using a quality scoring system that evaluates inpatient quality performance across general, acute, and non-federal U.S. hospitals.
“I commend the Franciscan Health Crown Point cardiac surgery teams and cardiology service line for their work in earning this recognition,” stated Dr. Daniel McCormick, President and CEO of Franciscan Health Crown Point. “Residents of the region should have extra peace of mind knowing this resource is available right in their own back yard at our new, state-of-the-art hospital.”
The CareChex Awards are supported by Bluebook Quantros Quality Outcomes Analytics Software. Bluebook Quantros provides software-based solutions and services to healthcare providers. The CareChex awards utilize a comprehensive risk-adjustment methodology without relying on self-reported data.
Other Franciscan Health facilities in Indiana were also recognized for their medical excellence. Franciscan Health Lafayette was included among the top 100 for joint replacement, while Franciscan Health Indianapolis received recognition for interventional coronary care and bone marrow transplants.
